IN LOVING MEMORY ROBERT WAYNE...

In Loving Memory ROBERT WAYNE PARKER 5/21/54 - 9/3/13 Bob was born at Mare Island, Vallejo California May 21, 1954. He grew up in the foundling city of Rohnert Park having lived in the second home built in A section. He proudly achieved the State championship for Discus at the age of 14 while attending Rohnert Park Jr. High School. He served nine years in the Air Force and returned to Rohnert Park to raise his family. He worked for Optical Coating Laboratories, OCLI, for 20 years. His work ethic and industriousness allowed him to move up the ladder quickly. He graduated from New College of California with his Bachelors Degree in Business. After leaving OCLI he went into the wine industry and lived out a dream of working for the Korbel family of wines. Bob was a kind and loving man. He loved Rock and Roll music and was a Dave Mason groupie. He loved to cook and his family appreciated every bite. He loved hiking, motorcycles and Sheltie dogs, having raised several. He leaves behind a wife, Mary Jo of 23 yrs, three children, Wendy, Angela and James, two stepchildren, Andrea and Laura, 13 grandchildren, and siblings, Mike, Joanne and Janet. Bob fought a long and courageous battle with Chronic Lyme Disease. In his honor you can make donations in his name at lymedisease.org.
